Kurt Angle Believes AJ Styles And Ricochet Could Carry Him Through One Final WrestleMania Match

Kurt Angle says he would need to work with a young talent if he was ever cleared for a final WrestleMania match.

Kurt Angle had his final match at WWE WrestleMania 35. In his last bout, Angle would lose to Baron Corbin, and that loss would cause Angle’s child to give Corbin “the finger.”

Since then, Kurt Angle has undergone knee replacement surgery and kept his word, staying away from the wrestling ring as an active competitor.

Speaking on the most recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the former World Champion revealed that if he was to ever work another WrestleMania match, he would need to work with a younger talent that he believes could carry him, giving examples such as AJ Styles and Ricochet.

“Oh, man. Well, I’m not that stupid,” began Angle. “So I’m going to make sure it’s a young guy because I’m a little bit older. I lost a little bit of a step. I would have to say someone like AJ Styles or ricochet, I really liked that kid. I think I would have an incredible match with him. One of the bigger guys, Braun Strowman. I would love to wrestle Braun He is so athletic for his size. He reminds me a lot of Brock Lesnar with his athleticism. He’s not as athletic as Brock, he’s pretty close. But those guys I think would carry me pretty well through that match.”

Kurt Angle did, of course, work many times with AJ Styles when they were both members of the TNA Wrestling roster. Kurt Angle also shared the ring with Braun Strowman as a tag team partner of his at WWE Survivor Series 2017.  Angle recently gave his thoughts about the finish of that event, saying that he believes Braun Strowman is capable of working 5-star matches, depending on who is in the ring opposite him.

Recently, Kurt Angle said that if he was to ever return to the ring, it would need to be a tag team scenario. Fans can read his comments here.
