Kurt Angle: “I’m Liking This Velveteen Dream Kid, He’s Different And He Has A Lot Of Promise”
Angle Q&A!
The WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has returned with his weekly Q&A session over his personal Facebook page after not doing one last weekend. Angle per usual answered a plethora of questions about the current landscape of wrestling and also dives back into the past when fans ask him about his career in the sport.
Angle ascended to the top of the sports-entertainment company rather quickly and there are a number of stars who’ve followed suit such as Jinder Mahal when he rose to the top spot of the card in a matter of weeks and went on to capture the WWE Championship and held onto the title for several months. Angle was asked for his thoughts on Jinder Mahal and shared that he is a big fan of the “Modern-Day Maharajah” and added that Jinder is a true heel.
“I love Jinder. He’s a TRUE heel and had a great championship run. He’s very valuable.” Angle noted.
Kurt Angle last competed on the November 5th edition of Monday Night RAW where he was bested by Drew McIntyre in dominating fashion. Angle has admitted in previous Q&A’s that he wants to continue wrestling and here’s how he responded when asked who would he like to step into the ring with:
“That’s tough. I see so much talent right now.” Angle continued, “It’s hard to pick one. AJ or Joe or Rollins or Bryan. Then you have Shaemus and Cesaro. Corbin. Gable and Jordan. I’d have to go with either Rollins or Bryan. Only because I’ve never wrestled them and I’ve had my eye on them for 5 years.”
With the likes of Lars Sullivan coming to the main roster soon, fans are anticipating another NXT call-up and Kurt has his eye on one specifically – that being the Velveteen Dream.
“I’m liking this Velveteen Dream kid.” Kurt revealed. “It’s different and he has a lot of promise. I remember meeting him at an Indy show 5 years ago. He’s come a long way!”
