Kurt Angle On Dixie Carter: ‘Sometimes Having A Woman In Charge Is A Lot Better Than A Man’

Kurt Angle praises Dixie Carter for her emotional understanding and compassion during his low points in life.

Kurt Angle spent more of his Hall of Fame career in TNA Wrestling than he did WWE. Originally, when Kurt Angle left WWE in 2006, he was supposed to take some time off after being burned out by the grind of professional wrestling.

Within a month of his departure from WWE, it was already announced that he would be joining TNA wrestling and he made his debut just before Bound for Glory in 2006, beginning a run with TNA that lasted a decade.

Speaking on a special Q&A version of his podcast, Kurt Angle reflected on Dixie Carter as a boss saying that sometimes, he prefers having a woman in charge because they are more compassionate and he feels that Dixie Carter truly cared about him from an emotional standpoint.

“I thought she was a great boss, I had no problems with her. Sometimes, having a woman in charge is a lot better than a man, because they’re so much more understanding, more compassionate, and they’ll take care of you a little better. Dixie always would help, especially in my down times. when I had my DUIs, she sat me down and said we’ve got to get you help. She’s the reason, her and my wife, are the reasons that I went to rehab. Because she spoke to me honestly and candidly she wanted me to get help, she really cared about me. It’s very seldom that you have a boss that cares about you emotionally. Dixie did.”

Ultimately, Kurt Angle would return to WWE in 2017 before retiring against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

In that same podcast, Kurt Angle had high praise for Gable Steveson, who just qualified for the Olympics. You can read Kurt Angle’s comments at this link.
