Kurt Angle says being an honorary member of D-Generation X was the coolest thing in the world.
The WWE Hall of Famer somewhat joined the legendary group on the January 23 episode of WWE Raw. He came to the ring with DX (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg & X-Pac) and revealed that he was wearing a DX shirt. Angle then refereed a six-man tag team match between Imperium (Gunther, Giovanni Vinci & Ludwig Kaiser) and Seth Rollins & The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins).
Speaking with Byron Saxton on Raw Talk, Angle discussed his memorable Monday night. He stated that being an honorary member of DX as the coolest thing in the world. He also expressed that he had fun being the referee for the six-man tag team match. Angle also made it clear that he would remember Monday night forever.
“I had a lot of fun. Being able to hang out with DX, being able an honorary member was the coolest thing in the world. My whole entire career, I’ve been kind of the nerd and the dork. To go out there with those guys was really cool. I had such a blast. Being able to ref the match, it was a lot of fun tonight. The Raw 30th [anniversary show], I’ll remember this forever,” Angle said.
Saxton also asked Angle to share his thoughts on the 30th anniversary of Raw. The WWE Hall of Famer responded by noting that it was a lot of content, and he was proud to be a part of as much of it as he has been.Angle expressed his gratitude for the career he has had, and he stated that he was glad he could utilize his talents in WWE.
“That is a lot of content my friend [laughs]. I’m very proud to be a part of a lot of it. Having my career in WWE, I’m so happy to be able to utilize my talents here, and I’m so grateful that the company picked me up at that particular time,” he said.
