Kota Ibushi Wins NJPW G1 Climax 29 Tournament

Ibushi has done it!

On August 12th, the finals of the 2019 New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 29 tournament was contested as “Switchblade” Jay White took on Kota Ibushi. The match started off with all members of Bullet Club in Jay White’s corner including the newest member KENTA but the night concluded with a G1 Climax 29 tournament victory for Kota Ibushi.

Ibushi then hits White with a sit out power bomb for a near fall, Ibushi goes for a running knee strike and White falls down to prevent it from landing. White distracts the ref and Ibushi lays out Gedo with a head kick as he tried interfering, Ibushi then nails White with a knee strike to the head. Rocky Romero leaves the broadcast area to get Gedo out of the ring, Ibushi nails White with another running knee strike for another near fall. White fights back and he attacks the injured leg of Ibushi, Ibushi recovers and drops White with a few head kicks. Ibushi goes for a knee strike and White counters with Blade Runner, White gets Ibushi up and Ibushi clobbers him with a headbutt. Ibushi then nails White with a straight jacket German suplex, White recovers and he nails Ibushi with a few sleeper suplexes. White then nails Ibushi with a cross arm brain buster, White goes for Blade Runner and Ibushi counters with a knee strike. Ibushi crushes White with a three pack of knee strikes for another near fall, Ibushi levels White with another knee strike for a three count.
