Kota Ibushi talks AEW performance.
Kota Ibushi made his AEW debut on the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, competing in Blood & Guts. Ibushi was the final member of the Golden Elite, teaming with Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, & the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) against Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, & Wheeler Yuta), PAC, & Konosuke Takeshita.
Taking to social media, Ibushi reflected on his performance and why he may have looked off.
I’m home
It’s my fault that I didn’t know thumbtacks and glass after all this time.
I have thin wrestling shoes, so it penetrated and it was just painful from the middle, and I ended up moving like an old man.
I’m sorry! Far from being unable to kick, both ankles were stiffLife with a cane for the first time in my life No, I’ll be cured tomorrow! That is Kota Ibushi!
それが飯伏幸太だ! pic.twitter.com/m4rxeT1U9s

The Golden Elite won the bout with a handcuffed Moxley quitting for his team to save Yuta from being choked out.
After the show went off the air, Ibushi took a bump into a pool of thumbtacks. Fans can find post-show footage by clicking here.
It is unknown if or when Ibushi will return to AEW.
