Kofi Kingston Says He’s Mad Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal At WrestleMania Never Happened

One match involving a former NBA champion that was hinted to happen at WrestleMania years ago was never made reality and Kofi Kingston is still upset about it.

Years ago, there were talks about a potential match between The Big Show and Shaquille O’Neal at WWE’s biggest show of the year, but the closest anyone got to see it was a brief encounter the two had at WrestleMania 32 in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Talking on “The New Day: Feel The Power” podcast, Kingston said he is mad the match never happened because a lot of time was spent on building up to that encounter.

“Yes, I am. So mad. I wanted to see it because they’ve been building it for years. There was something, I don’t know if it was an article or an actual video, but Big Show was talking trash and talking about how, ‘I’m in the best fighting shape of my life. I lost 50 pounds and Shaq’s gained 500.’ It was so Big Show, so matter of fact, just jerk and Shaq never responded so I don’t know what happened. I would have loved to have seen that,” Kingston said.

Big E shared his thoughts on the match that never happened, saying he would only watch it because of the possibility of it being a complete trainwreck.

“I don’t know man. I feel like, and no disrespect to the Big Show, who is one of the greatest big men of all time, but the only reason I would wanna see this is if it’s a trainwreck. That’s what I want to see. If it just went off the rails, that’s the only reason I want to see it, but if you’re expecting a clinic, I don’t know about that,” Big E said.
