Knockouts Championship Match Made Official For IMPACT Hard To Kill

The Knockouts Championship will be on the line at IMPACT Hard To Kill.

On November 20 at IMPACT Turning Point, Mickie James successfully retained her Knockouts Title in a hard-fought encounter with Mercedes Martinez. After the bell, however, she was attacked by Deonna Purrazzo, who applied her Venus De Milo submission. The Virtuosa then got on the microphone and announced that she would be getting her contractual rematch for the belt at Hard To Kill on January 8, 2022.

Gia Miller caught up with IMPACT Executive Scott D’Amore backstage where he confirmed the Knockouts Championship match between James and Purrazzo. He also revealed that at Hard To Kill a new number one contender for the belt would be determined in the first-ever Knockouts Ultimate X match.

Mickie and Deonna have been feuding ever since Slammiversary 2021 when Mickie attacked Deonna following a not-so-cordial rejection of her invitation to NWA Empowerrr. After months of sneak attacks at work and at home, James defeated Deonna for the title at Bound For Glory.

Deonna returned to TV for the first time this past Thursday and said she has been at home regrouping and plans on coming back better than ever before.
