Here is your fight size update for WWE Friday Night SmackDown and AEW Rampage on Friday, January 12, 2024.

WWE SmackDown

– Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight were set to face Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. Sikoa attacked Orton on his way to the ring.  AJ Styles and LA Knight faced Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. Late in the bout, Randy Orton made his way back to the ring. Orton scored the win by dropping Uso with an RKO. Styles and Knight fought off The Bloodline after the bell. Knight and Styles argued. Orton and his fellow contenders continued to brawl with The Bloodline. They slammed Sikoa through the broadcast table.

– Bianca Belair faced Bayley. Damage CTRL did not interfere when Bayley wanted them to. Belair took advantage of the situation and pinned Bayley.

– Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO faced Angel and Humberto. During the match, Carlito came out and brawled with Santos Escovar. Angel capitalized on the distraction and scored the pinfall as he used the ropes for extra leverage. 

– Grayson Waller, accompanied by Austin Theory, was set to face Cameron Grimes. Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso attacked Grimes during his entrance. Nick Aldis came out, and Waller left the ring.

– Paul Heyman targeted Nick Aldis, calling him a villainous James Bond wannabe and saying that he was the bad guy for booking Roman Reigns in a four-way match at WWE Royal Rumble. Aldis entered the ring and said the four-way match was a done deal. Aldis then said the Bloodline would be in the main event, as AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight would face Roman Reigns, Uso, and Sikoa. When Heyman said Reigns was not there, Aldis said the match would be a handicap bout unless they found a replacement. 

– Nick Aldis met with Carmelo Hayes and noted that he was impressed. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory confronted him. Hayes challenged Waller to a match, but a bout between Hayes and Austin Theory was booked instead. 

Cody Rhodes is set to open the January 15 episode of WWE Raw.

– Carmelo Hayes faced Austin Theory. The referee ended the match, as both men landed hard after they fell from the top rope. WWE later announced that both men had suffered facial contusions, but they would be okay.

– Butch got coffee with Tyler Bate. Bate hyped up their win last week. Butch brushed Bate off. Bate offered to help him with meditation and breathing. Butch said they should focus on each other, and the Brawling Brutes were in the past. Bate told him to look inward and asked him to remember what his name was going to be.

– Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) and targeted Karrion Kross and AOP. Lashley called them out. Kross appeared on the video screen and sent Lashley a message. He stated that he and the AOP would usher in a new era. Kross revealed that his group was named The Final Testament.

– WWE United States Champion Logan Paul sent a message to Kevin Owens and threatened to take him to court. He said the match would be canceled if he had his cast at WWE Royal Rumble. 

– Kevin Owens responded to Logan Paul and invited him to be a guest on The Kevin Owens Show.

– Bayley made it clear she was upset with Damage CTRL. Dakota Kai said Bayley had to succeed by herself.

– Bianca Belair commented on her win.

– Tensions continued to rise between Michin and AJ Styles.

AEW Rampage

– Thanks to some help from Negative One, The Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds) beat Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Jake Hager. 

– Eddie Kingston successfully defended the AEW Continental Crown Championship against Wheeler Yuta.

The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) welcomed Mark Briscoe into “the brethren” and set their sights on the trios titles.

– Ruby Soho and Saraya were asked about their pairing with Harley Cameron. Saraya showed Soho a clip of Cameron talking to Angelo Parker, and they were seen kissing. Parker showed up, and Soho shoved a cake in his face. Parker saw the screen and said it wasn’t what it looked like.

– Swere Strickland defeated Matt Sydal.

– Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin) and Action Andretti were confronted by Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen). 

– Hikaru Shida picked up the win when she faced Queen Aminata. 

– A video package hyped up the trios match in which FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Daniel Garcia will face the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) on AEW Collision.
