Killer Kross Says He Was Booked For AAA In NY Show, Still Working On Getting IMPACT Release
Killer Kross talks being pulled from AAA show.
It’s been four months since Killer Kross requested his release from IMPACT Wrestling and as of now, there appears to be no resolution between the two parties. Kross reportedly asked for a raise on his current contract and turned down IMPACT’s counteroffer, which was reportedly a six-figure deal over the course of three years. Fightful reported that Kross’ deal is up in December, but IMPACT has the option to roll it over.
“This has been one of the most frustrating situations I’ve ever been apart of in my life because I’m very anti-drama and very private. The professional wrestling business is very dramatic,” Kross told Kevin Gill on the Kevin Gill Show. “They love to air dirty laundry. I have been attempting to do my best to facilitate the situation as civilly and privately as possible despite whatever the fuck anybody thinks. Here’s the thing, there are things that are escalating across the boards where, now, everyone’s shit is going to be out there, and it actually has nothing to do with me. I’ve been doing my best to facilitate a scenario where everyone goes their separate ways on common grounds. I’m just looking to get on with my life.”
While Kross hasn’t been seen in IMPACT since Slammiversary in July, he recently competed at AAA Triplemania XXVII, teaming with Taurus & Texano Jr in a loss to Cain Velasquez, Cody Rhodes & Psycho Clown. Kross was scheduled to compete, though never announced, at AAA’s Invading NY event this Sunday, Sept. 15, once AAA partnered with IMPACT for the show, Kross was pulled.
“In regards to the [AAA] Madison Square Garden show, I was on that show,” stated Kross. “I don’t care who gets mad at that, that’s the truth. We had plans to do things. Maybe there is a way to revisit those plans, I’m gonna have to see how I feel about it. I was taken off of the show, and I know I was taken off of it because I have a lot of people who have a lot of love for me. I’ve never done anybody wrong. Anybody who has tried to do wrong to me, I always find out about it because I don’t do wrong to other people. There’s a lot of people who live in a delusional, egocentric place where they think they’ve created these tribalistic groups and cliques. All they’re doing is saying one thing, and as soon as you’re out of the room, everyone is being informed about the shit they’re trying to do. When people find out the entire truth of the situation, they’re going to be fucking revolted and my hands are clean.”
Kross will be working Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport II on Sept. 14.
