In recent weeks, Owens has been feuding with Austin Theory and Alpha Academy. Likewise, Gargano has been engaged in a rivalry with Theory, his former stablemate in The Way, since he returned to WWE. Gargano has also mixed it up with Alpha Academy; he defeated Chad Gable in his return to the ring.
On the September 19 episode of WWE Raw, Gargano interfered in Theory’s match against Owens, and his distraction ultimately cost Mr. Money in the Bank the match. Later in the show, Alpha Academy confronted Gargano, and Gable told the former NXT Champion that he had a problem with the way he messed with Theory. Owens arrived and gave Gargano some back-up, setting the stage for a tag team showdown next week.

Plus, Matt Riddle will take on Damian Priest in a clash of former WWE United States Champions. Priest recently tried to recruit Riddle to the Judgment Day, but “The Original Bro” turned him down. Priest and Finn Balor subsequently beat Riddle and Rey Mysterio in a tag team match on Monday night.
