Kevin Nash Has No Interest In One More Match, Not Even For ‘Saudi Money’
Kevin Nash has been wise about conserving his money and therefore, has no interest in taking two bumps. Not even for $500,000
Pro wrestling retirements have always been viewed as less-than-legitimate with many wrestlers coming out of retirement for big paydays in a practice that dates back to the territories. Ric Flair, at the age of 73, recently came out of retirement for yet another final match, honoring his legacy in Nashville, Tennessee, during SummerSlam 2022 weekend.
Kevin Nash, one of the top wrestlers from the Monday Night War era, has been known to quote “Captain Lou Albano” in saying that the only thing real about professional wrestling is “the money and the miles.” Fortunately for Kevin, he had saved up plenty of the former, unfortunately, he’s feeling every bit of the latter.
Nash has officially stated that he won’t even come out of retirement, even for a half-million dollar payment to work a Saudi Arabian event.
“People don’t — I love when people come up to me and they go, ‘Man, you still look pretty jacked. I think you’ve got one more [match] in you. I don’t. The fucking thought of my fucking rickety-ass body hitting that fucking wood. Like, nah, man, not even for fucking Saudi money. You could come to me with half-a-million bucks, let me take two bumps, fuck you. What am I gonna do with that? Let me put that in the bank with the rest of my fucking money I don’t spend,” said Nash on his latest Kliq This podcast.
Kevin Nash hasn’t wrestled a full match for WWE since his Ladder Match against Triple H in 2011. Kevin Nash did appear, however, in the 2014 Royal Rumble match. His last official match was at a 2018 Big Time Wrestling event, where he won the Heavyweight Championship for the promotion by competing in a Gauntlet.
Recently, on a separate podcast, Kevin Nash also spoke about the changes he would like to see occur in the WWE product. Read more here.
