Kevin Knight Says He Wants To Get In The Ring With Kazuchika Okada & See Who Has The Better Dropkick
Kevin Knight thinks a match with Kazuchika Okada is inevitable.
‘The Jet’ is currently navigating his way through the world of New Japan Pro Wrestling alongside his tag team partner, KUSHIDA. Although Knight has yet to have a singles match for the company in Japan, he is setting his sights high for a potential future matchup with arguably one of the best wrestlers in the world.
Knight is often praised for his dropkick, which is eerily similar to Kazuchika Okada’s dropkick. In a new interview with New Japan Pro Wrestling’s website, Knight noted that he wants to get in the ring with Okada and see whose dropkick is better.
“I think it’s inevitable that me and Kazuchika Okada get in the ring some time and see just whose dropkick is best. When I first came to NJPW, I didn’t really understand the idea of practicing simple moves for a whole week at a time, but it means everything is on point all the time. The fundamentals are always there and I never overthink anything.”
Knight and Okada have yet to face off in a match of any capacity in NJPW.
Back in February, Fightful’s Grapsody podcast held an exclusive interview with Kevin Knight himself. Fans can see the full interview by clicking here.
Knight was recently in action on night four of NJPW’s Road To Wrestling Dontaku show. Fans can see full results for the show by clicking here.
