KENTA & Shinsuke Nakamura Comment On Daniel Bryan & Kofi Kingston Using The GTS

KENTA weighs in on the GTS battle.

At a WWE live event on Aug. 24, Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston leveled each other with the Go To Sleep finishing move, which was made famous in WWE by CM Punk. The move was a response to the crowd chanting “CM Punk” after Bryan reportedly yelled, “Who is the best?”

While Punk popularized the move in WWE, KENTA (Hideo Itami in WWE) had been using the move for years in NOAH and on the Independent scene. After seeing the video on social media, KENTA gave his thoughts on Bryan and Kofi using the move and the chants that followed.

Potentially thinking of using the move for himself, Shinsuke Nakamura wondered how much it would cost in royalty fees to knee someone in the face off a fireman’s carry. KENTA quickly named his price.

Kota Ibushi regularly uses the Kinshasa in NJPW as an homage to Nakamura.

Kingston and Bryan have yet to weigh in or pay up.
