Kenny Omega Officially Joins AEW; Named Executive Vice President
The worst kept secret in professional wrestling is finally out.
Kenny Omega is All Elite. The signing was made official at Thursday’s AEW Double or Nothing Ticket Announcement Party. Omega is not only part of the active roster, but he was also introduced as Executive Vice President, a role he will share with The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes. Omega joining the promotion had been teased for the past couple of weeks on Being The Elite. Omega could not officially sign with promotion until his NJPW expired after January.

WWE reportedly made him a “fantastic offer,” but Omega decided to stick with his friends and join AEW. Cody, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, and Omega had long stated that they would be sticking together once they became free agents in 2019.
Omega was confronted by Chris Jericho at the press conference/party, potentially setting up a bout between the two at AEW Double or Nothing.
