Kenny Omega Confirms AEW: Fight Forever’s Publisher
AEW’s console video game will be published by a company very familiar to wrestling fans.
AEW’s console video game, Fight Forever is tentatively scheduled to be released before the end of the year and now, the company publishing the game has been confirmed.
Appearing on the CEO Gaming Twitch channel, Kenny Omega confirmed that THQ Nordic will be publishing the upcoming video game.
THQ has been involved in wrestling video game production for 25 years. The company began publishing wrestling games in 1997 beginning with WCW vs. The World on the original Sony PlayStation. THQ would go on to publish four more WCW games including WCW/nWo Revenge on the Nintendo 64 in 1998.
In 1999, THQ began publishing WWE video games and throughout their partnership with WWE, they published over two dozen WWE video games until the company folded in 2013. Eventually, on June 12, 2014, Nordic Games announced that it had acquired the THQ trademark, allowing the studio to publish games under the THQ name. In August 2016, the company was renamed THQ Nordic.
