Ken Shamrock On Taking The People’s Elbow: I Was Looking Up At Rock’s Crotch Going, ‘This Is Not A Good Sight’

Ken Shamrock was an early opponent for The Rock after he started to find his footing as a member of The Nation of Domination.

In fact, Shamrock may have been the first person to take the People’s Elbow from “The Great One.”

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Shamrock recalled taking the People’s Elbow.

“It had to be,” he recalled. “That was a long time ago. I remember looking at that video. I don’t think Rock knew how to perfect it yet. I remember laying on the mat looking up at him going, ‘Bro, this is not a good sight. You don’t have to be standing over top of me with your legs spread pointing to the crowd that long. Make your move!’ [Laughs]”

Shamrock and The Rock clashed many times in the ring, including a showdown for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 14.

Elsewhere during the interview, Shamrock recalled the infamous chair shot delivered by The Rock. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
