Keith Lee Feels He Made The Right Choice In Leaving Ring Of Honor
Keith Lee has always been confident in his choice of leaving Ring of Honor.
Now the WWN champion, he spoke to ESPN about his choice in leaving ROH nine months ago. Lee says some people say that looking back, it was the right time. But for him, he knew he made the right decision the minute he left:
You know, when I made that decision, I was 100 percent comfortable with it then. I felt like I made the right decision. Other people will tell you, 'Now it's justified — now I made the right decision.' No, I made the right decision then, and I've been able to capitalize on opportunities given to me. I think that knowing that I was going to get opportunities to push myself and have the matches I believe I'm worthy of, and opportunities to be in a position where I can stand out or have the opportunity to run with the ball, so to speak, meant more to me.
Lee immediately signed a contract with EVOLVE upon leaving Ring of Honor. Since then, Lee has built a tremendous following on the independent scene, having memorable matches with the likes of Donovan Dijak, Matt Riddle and Ricochet. He won the WWN title on October 14, defeating Riddle for the title.
