– On the media call previewing NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, Triple H was asked about the possibility of one day using the Elimination Chamber match type in NXT something that he quickly shut down saying that that is more of a man roster concept and he is proud of NXT having their unique match types.
“It is not a conversation right now. For me, Elimination Chamber is a very WWE and a very Raw-SmackDown centralized event. I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but at the same point in time it’s nice to be able to have different events for different brands and a different feel that make the shows different. I love the fact that NXT has WarGames and the Fight Pit and the different things that are synonymous with NXT and that Raw and SmackDown have those with them themselves as well. NXT UK has the Heritage cup and a different feel to it. Having those distinct differences are wonderful. People love those matches, but it gives you a reason to go to those brands and be engaged with those brands and keeping them separate is a good thing.”

– Keiji Mutoh, perhaps better known as the Great Muta, will be challenging for a major championship in the Pro-Wrestling NOAH promotion. When speaking with Sports Illustrated about the potential of retirement, Mutoh was very decisive in his answer.
“I am getting older, but I still can’t think of my life being away from pro wrestling,” Mutoh says. “For me, pro wrestling is my life. My daily routine still revolves around pro wrestling.”
He later added, “Wrestlers in my generation, such as [Manabu] Nakanishi and [Jushin] Liger, made their retirement last year, so it looks like the mandatory retirement is around 50 years old. I say the hell with that. I hope to be the one to inspire and give energy to the world that is feeling down right now, and I will do my best and beat the champion.”

– Speaking with Peter Rosenberg on the Cheap Heat podcast, Bianca Belair says it’s an inevitability that she will one day compete in a hair vs hair match. (h/t: Andrew Thompson)
“I think it’s pretty much inevitable because I mean, so much of who I am is my braid. I mean, she even has a name. Her name is Destiny, and it makes sense, right? So, and I think that it’s really fun to have feuds sometimes that aren’t always a part of the title picture and if I have a hair versus hair match… I ain’t gonna say it’s bigger than a title. A title is pretty big, you know? But, there will be a lot at stake and I think a lot of people could get very invested in it. I don’t wanna lose my braid, I don’t want to lose my hair. I think it would be great. I’d be down for it.”
– Speaking with Digital Spy, Kip Sabian revealed that he did not know that James Mitchell would be performing at his wedding ceremony on the February 3 episode of Dynamite.
“I found out on the day [of Dynamite],” he said. “I saw James Mitchell there and I was like, ‘Wait, what are you doing here? Oh… wait a second, this now all falls into place.’
“Other people knew before me, but it just somehow had gone under the radar. They thought I knew but I didn’t know. It was a nice little surprise on the day.”

– Speaking with the Central Texas local ABC affiliate, KVUE, Mark Henry described what it was like to watch Ron Simmons defeat Vader for the WCW Championship.
“I remember when that happened, I didn’t even know it was possible. I didn’t even know you could do that. Ron made the impossible possible. I just look at it as being a complete blessing to be mentored by the first champion,” Henry said.
