Keiji Mutoh Suffers Hip Injury, GHC Tag Team Titles Vacated
Keiji Mutoh is sidelined.
During a press conference on February 8 it was announced that Keiji Mutoh, known to many as The Great Muta, has suffered a hip injury. The injury happened at Nippon Budokan. Mutoh last wrestled on January 16 where he and Naomichi Marufuji defended the GHC Tag Team Titles against Kongo (Kenoh & Manabu Soya).
As a result of his injury, Mutoh & Marufuji will vacate the GHC Tag Team Championships.
It is unknown how long Mutoh will be out of action, but he did vow to return.
