Kazuchika Okada Would Like To Wrestle Triple H, Says It’s Important To Have Wild Dreams

Kazuchika Okada says it’s more important than ever to have faith and hold on to hope for your dream matches.

Recently, Okada made headlines by saying that he wants to have matches with CM Punk and Bryan Danielson before they are done wrestling. Both men are currently wrestling for AEW, a promotion with a decent working relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Both Bryan Danielson and CM Punk have openly discussed being open to wrestling in New Japan, Bryan Danielson was even reportedly the centerpiece of a hypothetical working relationship between WWE and NJPW as a potential part of him re-signing with WWE.

Now, during an interview with Wrestling Observer Radio, Okada explained why he feels, because of the past number of years the world has been impacted by the global pandemic that it is more important than ever to speculate and have wild dreams and maybe, they will just happen. Okada even expressed being open to working with WWE Hall of Famer, Triple H in a potential match as an example of how wild his dreams can be.

“So, I mean, really, we can’t possibly say it at the moment and everything is so up in the air and sometimes putting these situations out they might just end as dream matches and everybody’s got a limited number of days left. But it’s because we’re in the situation that we’re in that these dream matches become more important to all of us as fans, to give something to imagine and speculate and look forward to. So, who knows, it might be Bryan Danielson, it might be CM Punk, it might be Triple H, or it might be Shinsuke Nakamura. It might be all of these different situations. Now we’re in this situation we’re in as a planet and as a society it’s more important than ever to have these crazy speculations and wild dreams of things we can do.”

Okada recently re-established himself as the top man in NJPW by coming out of Wrestle Kingdom 16 with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
