Kazuchika Okada Accepts Shingo Takagi’s Challenge For IWGP World Heavyweight Title
Shingo and Okada set to collide again.
At NJPW New Year Dash!!, Kazuchika Okada officially accepted Shingo Takagi’s challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Okada said the bout could happen, “anyplace, anywhere.”
Shingo first confronted Okada at the end of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 with Shingo stating that Okada took the IWGP World Heavyweight Title from him at NJPW Wrestle Kindom 16 and he wanted it back. Shingo said he would win the KOPW Provisional Title at NJPW New Year Dash!!, which he did, and then challenge Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.
