Former WWE Writer Kazeem Famuyide On WWE Higher Ups: If You Act Like A P—y, They’ll Treat You Like One

Kazeem Famuyide provides some insight into a modern-day WWE production meeting.

Former member of the WWE creative writing team Kazeem Famuyide departed from the sports-entertainment company in early February and following his departure, he re-joined the ‘Wrassle Rap’ podcast and did a tell-all interview about his time in WWE. Kazeem discussed some the interactions he had with The Riott Squad, working with Kevin Owens and being in production meetings with Hall Of Famers who he watched on television for years.

During a particular portion of the podcast, Kazeem recalled being in a production meeting and described it as a “mind-f*ck” for a lifelong wrestling fan. He made it clear that one of the more important aspects is remembering that the likes of Triple H and Vince McMahon are people and it is also important to hold your own because if you come off as a pushover, you’ll be treated as such.

“The only pitches that you get to do to Vince is the day of the show at the production meeting and the production meetings were stressful. If you’re a lifelong wrestling fan, walking into those production meetings is a mind-fu*k.” He laughed, “It is a mind-f*ck. You go into a room. It’s all the writers and then it’s like, the producers, a whose who of Hall Of Famers so it’s like you, a bunch of guys, the commentary team so it’s like Saxton, Graves, Renee, Phillips, Nigel McGuinness and then it’s Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko and Billy Kidman and T.J. Kidd, D-Von Dudley, Road Dogg, everybody. You’re sitting there and [the] door swings open. In walks Hunter, in walks Vince McMahon, in walks Kevin Dunn. They sit at the head of the table. Once the meeting starts, everybody stands up, Vince makes sure he looks everybody in the eye and shakes hands. My first day when I went up there, I’m sitting in the front row, because you want to make a good impression and be in the front row and all that type of sh*t. [Vince McMahon] shakes my hand and he’s like, ‘Oh! Mhm, nice suit. Welcome aboard.”’ He recalled. “And Hunter was also really cool. All the higher ups were really fuc*ing nice. They’re straight shooters man. I hate to say it but if act like a pu*sy, they’ll treat you like a pu*sy. But if you’re a straight shooter with them, you look them in the eyes, shake their hand, be firm and don’t be fuc*ing scared of him, he’s just a guy. At the end of the day, they’re just guys.”

Kazeem Famuyide and the ‘Wrassle Rap’ crew were present at WaleMania earlier this month and to listen to some of the shows that were recorded at the event, click here.
