Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Curt Hawkins File Trademarks For Various Wrestling Phrases & Names
Several recently-released wrestlers have been busy filing trademarks.
According to PWInsider, Karl Anderson filed a trademark on his “Chad 2 Badd” persona back on May 5. Chad 2 Badd was the name of his character in the Southpaw Regional Wrestling series that WWE aired online back in 2017. Curt Hawkins also filed trademarks on “Never Defeated” and “Prince of Queens” back on April 29.
As for Luke Gallows, his company Wrestlemerica filed a trademark on “TALKNSHOPAMANIA” on April 29. The PWInsider report also stated that it could possibly relate to live events under the Talking Shop podcast name, noting the filing is for “Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.” Gallows recently filed to trademark “Sex Ferguson.”
Lastly, former TNA star James Storm, who also wrestles for the NWA, filed trademarks on his ring name and his “Sorry About Your Damn Luck” catchphrase back in February.
Anderson, Hawkins and Gallows were all part of the massive layoffs and talent releases WWE announced back on April 15.
