Kane Talks WWE Surviving Thanks To The Undertaker
Kane holds The Undertaker in high regard, even saying he deserves more credit for the WWE surviving during turbulent times.
In an interview with the Radio Times, Kane mentioned how the WWE was not in the greatest shape when he first arrived there in the 1990s. While the company would soon have a period of tremendous success from the late 1990s to the early 2000s thanks to its various stars such as Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and more, Kane says the Undertaker was leading the charge and helped the WWE to reach the highs that it did back then.
“When I came to WWE in 1995, things were terrible, frankly. He was the guy who was leading the charge into the Attitude Era and [Steve] Austin came along, The Rock came along, Undertaker was still in the mix. We see Austin and The Rock as highs, but the reason the company survived to reach those highs was because of a guy like The Undertaker and he probably doesn’t get enough credit for that,” Undertaker said.
Despite being with WWE for decades, the Undertaker is still wrestling, most recently facing AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36, which Undertaker won. WWE is in the midst of airing a multi-part documentary series on Undertaker, which will resume showing new episodes on the WWE Network later this month.
