Kane Says Working Raw On Christmas Is Just Business, Will Miss Old Nassau Coliseum

There was a lot of hubub about WWE Superstars working Christmas, but it made total sense to Kane.

He spoke to Newsday about working on the holiday. He says that it's all about trade-offs, and that's the cost of providing for one's family, sometimes have to sacrifice holidays.

“The thing about it is that this is one of our most important times of the year business wise" he said. "We do really, really good business the week after Christmas. It is what it is. There’s always trade-offs. We’re not the only people who this year will be working on Christmas Day. A lot of people do that to provide for their family. My family — we’ll just do Christmas on Sunday.”

He talked to Newsday ahead of WWE's show at the Nassau Coliseum, which reopened this year after some major renovations. While new accommodations are nice, he'll miss the old building.

"When you’d go down to catering, there was this big room and it has a mural of the Islanders" he remembered. "And then when you’re walking down the hallway to the locker room, they had a sort of Islander Hall of Fame with busts of players and management and staff over the years. Just being backstage was pretty cool."

Kane's next big match will be at the Royal Rumble, where he will face Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar for the Universal title in a triple threat match.
