Kamille: Main Eventing A Show Isn’t Important To Me, You Can Steal The Show With Any Match

Kamille believes you can make an impact on a show without being the main event.

For as long as the sport has been alive, being in the main event of any professional wrestling show has always been a high honor that only a select amount of people have got to experience. The experience of being in the main event is something that even transcends wrestling, as other sports like boxing or MMA also put a lot of prestige into the main event of any show.

The main event of WWE WrestleMania 39 Night One was a hot topic among fans recently, as the tag team championship bout between Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn and The Usos was the headlining match of the show over the SmackDown Women’s Title match between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley.

In a new interview with WrestlingNews.co, NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille was asked about WWE’s choice to not put Ripley and Flair in the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 39.

“I might have a looked down opinion here, but I could care less about main eventing. I get the prestige and importance and that’s what is kind of billed to sell the show, but the thing is, from top to bottom the show has to be a good show and you’re able to steal the show with any match. I think if you put too much pressure or too much emphasis in that, it’s not that important to me. I understand it is to other people but I just think that you are where you are on the card and you make the most of that. I don’t think you’re less important if you’re not main eventing.”

Days after the match, Rhea Ripley noted that her and Charlotte proved that they belonged in the main event of the show on night one. Fans can learn more here.

Elsewhere in the interview, Kamille said that she’d love to face ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. Click here to learn more.
