Juice Robinson Comments On His Promo Style, Wrestling Jon Moxley
Before the pandemic, Juice Robinson was having a strong start to his 2020, challenging for the IWGP US Title and winning the IWGP Tag Team Championships at Wrestle Kingdom 14. Though Juice and David Finley lost the IWGP Tag Team Titles in February, Juice had been positioned well in NJPW.
Speaking to Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Juice commented on his first meeting with Moxley saying, “How do you think it feels to get your face bitten off in front of 12,000 innocent Japanese people? Moxley walked into Ryogoku and mopped the floor with my ass. That’s how it felt to ‘work’ with Moxley. It wasn’t a Sunday roast dinner. It was a f****** fight.”
Moxley and Juice initially met at NJPW Best Of The Super Junior XXVI Finals before rematching inside the Tokyo Dome at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
In NJPW, Juice has been able to show his personality a bit more than when he portrayed CJ Parker in WWE NXT. Kevin Owens has praised Juice for his promo ability, saying he’s “on another level.”
When asked about his promo style, Juice said, ‘I don’t have a ‘promo style.’ I’m the same guy on or off camera. I just speak from the heart and convey my emotions to the audience. It’s not rocket science. I’m simply myself and what you see if what you get.”
It is unknown when Juice will return to the ring. NJPW announced he would not be competing on the NJPW Strong shows due to a leg injury.
