Josh Alexander was set to face Shelton Benjamin at Prestige Wrestling Alive or Just Breathing on May 16. On May 8, Prestige Wrestling announced that Alexander was not able to compete, so Tom Lawlor would face Benjamin instead.

Alexander then took to Twitter/X to state that he had to pull out of his independent dates for the rest of the month. He said he was not injured, and it was all precautionary. Alexander noted that he had been dealing with personal health issues that leave him in constant pain. He said that he would deal with it and return as soon as possible.
