Jordan Devlin, El Ligero, Matt Riddle’s Lawyer Release Staments On Sexual Abuse Allegations
WWE superstars accused of sexual abuse have given their statements regarding their respective accusations.
Matt Riddle, who was accused of sexual abuse by wrestler Candy Cartwright, issued the following statement through his lawyer Daniel J. Rose.
The allegations by this independent female performer are completely false and another attempt to harass and humiliate Mr. and Mrs. Riddle to try and tarnish their reputation in the community.
We have been aware for the last two years of this performer stalking the Riddle family.
In 2019, our firm had draft a pleading against this performer to seek an injunction for cyberstalking in the Circuit Court for Orange County, Florida.

Cartwright claims, “Back in May of 2018 I was riding with Matt Riddle and a few other wrestlers. During the van ride, when the 3 other wrestlers had fallen asleep, Matt asked me to ‘hop on his dick.’ When I refused (although we had previously been together I was incredibly uncomfortable in that setting ) When I said no, he grabbed me by my throat, choked me and said “what if I just made you?” I ended up giving him oral sex (praying someone wouldn’t wake up) to get out of having intercourse with him. It was incredibly humiliating. It is never ok to put your hands on a woman, it’s also not ok to not listen when she says no.”
Jordan Devlin, who accused of abuse by a woman named Hannah, posted the following statement on social media:
I didn’t even want to address the hurtful allegation made against me, but for the sake of my followers and friends on this platform that may for whatever reason be unsure, I’m going to address this once.

This is all I will say on the matter, and I am now working with a legal team to help decide how to proceed from here.

Hannah tweeted pictures showing bruises on her body alleging that it was Devlin who did this to her. In one of her tweets talking about Devlin, Hannah said “This is scary. I’m really scared. Jordan Devlin did this to me. And this is just the physical damage.” The tweets have since been deleted.
El Ligero, who was accused of sexual assault by Violet O’Hara, posted the following statement:
The current story that has been released by Violet O’Hara/Claire-Michelle Oldfield is neither accurate nor true.
This is a completely false allegation and whilst I’ve done other things in my life that I deeply regret, this isn’t an accurate or truthful portrayal of events.1/2

This is something I strongly deny and is something I’ve been in the process of speaking to a legal team about.

O’Hara claims Ligero acted as a “white knight” in saving her from a bad scene at a bar. Following the incident, Ligero and a group of friends were allowed to stay at O’Hara’s hotel as they needed a place to crash. O’Hara claimed that Ligero said he could not sleep on the floor, she agreed to allow him in her room as long as he stayed on the opposite side, and was then indecently assaulted by Ligero.
Ligero also addressed allegations made by other women regarding his behavior.
Regarding the other statements from people like Laura, Natalie who have spoken out about the way they were made to feel, and others that have come forward about unwanted messages, I have no excuse.

It’s inappropriate, it’s an embarrassment and it’s an absolute shameful way to act from someone in a position of trust. I sincerely apologise for my actions and any hurt I’ve caused.

I have no justification of my actions in the slightest. In these situations, I have failed people as a friend, as a fiancée and as a decent human being.

Multiple women accused Ligero of requesting photographs or making sexual comments despite them being underage.
WWE issued a statement saying they have a zero-tolerance policy and any arrest would lead to a suspension while a conviction would lead to termination.
Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation as it unfolds.
