Jordan Devlin Declares Himself As The Real NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar Responds
Jordan Devlin is back and he believes he still holds the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
Devlin has been off television during the pandemic as NXT UK went on hiatus and Devlin was overseas, unable to make it to Florida or NXT tapings. He was also accused of abuse during the Speaking Out movement.
During that time, NXT held a tournament to crown an interim Cruiserweight Champion. Santos Escobar won the tournament and NXT quietly dropped the “interim” tag from the title following his victory.
NXT UK is running once again and Devlin wants the world to know that he is still the real NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

Escobar posted the following response to Devlin.
Ok… since we’re quoting… lemme quote a more credited source: “Every bit of that #WWENXT Cruiserweight Championship was about seizing opportunity. Congratulations to @EscobarWWE … a division changing talent and it’s STILL ALL his. #NXTTakeOver “ –@TripleH https://t.co/kCMdHKjVIW

It is unknown when Devlin will be able to make it to the states for a potential match against Escobar.
