Jonathan Gresham Suggests His Current Environment No Longer Suits Him In Promo On 7/20 IMPACT On AXS
Jonathan Gresham suggests that maybe he’s been playing outside of an environment that suits him since joining IMPACT Wrestling.
Jonathan Gresham was once the face of Ring of Honor and the face of pure wrestling. However, Gresham left Ring of Honor after ROH Death Before Dishonor 2022, where he lost the Ring of Honor World Championship to Claudio Castagnoli. Gresham signed with IMPACT Wrestling in December 2022 and has largely spent a lot of time in the X-Division.
The X-Division is known for having no limits and after competing in an Ultimate X bout at IMPACT Slammiversary 2022, Gresham was ready to confront the mismatch of himself in the X-Division.
In a vignette that aired on July 20, 2023, Gresham requested a sit-down interview with Tom Hannifan where he explained that he once fought for the return of Pure Rules in ROH and suggested that the environment he was in no longer suited him before abruptly walking away and ending the interview.
