JONAH Recalls Nixed Plan For Him To Pay Tribute To Vader During NXT Halloween Havoc Event

JONAH once wanted to pay tribute to Vader at a Halloween Havoc event.

JONAH, as an agile big man in wrestling, enjoys paying tribute to other agile big men in wrestling. He has been outspoken about his fandom of Bam Bam Bigelow and has even paid tribute to Bam Bam Bigelow with his gear in the past.

JONAH, speaking to Sami Callihan on Callihan Uncensored, reflected on a nixed tribute to Vader during his time as Bronson Reed in NXT, complete with a mask that actually belonged to Vader which JONAH still owns.

“So no spoilers but, I am working on something of that same vein. If you watched my time in NXT, I did a tribute to Bam Bam Bigelow with the flames and stuff… and that’s still what I do now. But on Halloween Havoc, I was supposed to do a tribute to Vader. Right behind me is an actual Vader mask that his son sent me to wear. I was gonna wear that, and someone in NXT knew the whereabouts of the big helmet. I was ready to do it, but they nixed it a few weeks later,” said JONAH.

Unfortunately, Vader passed away on June 18, 2018. This year, Vader will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside The Undertaker. Learn more here.
