JONAH: I Was Promised The Top Spot In NXT

JONAH had promises made to him during his time in NXT.

JONAH, the former Bronson Reed, was a featured talent on WWE’s NXT brand before he was released from the company on August 6th, 2021. Aside from a 42-day NXT North American Championship reign, Reed was mostly stuck in lower card feuds during his time with the black and gold brand.

During his talk with JONAH on the Callihan Uncensored podcast, Sami Callihan asked the former champion about where he thinks he should be in his career.

“Very top, world champion. That’s where I’ve always wanted to be and that’s where I still have my goals set. I set goals as they go and build my way up and as for that company that shall not be named, I was destined to become the top guy in the black and gold brand. That’s what was supposed to happen. That’s what was promised. But as we all know, promises don’t get kept a lot in professional wrestling. So now it’s all on my own shoulders and I have to make sure I live up to that hype.”

Since leaving WWE, JONAH has made himself a top name in IMPACT Wrestling after debuting at IMPACT’s Turning Point pay-per-view last November.

JONAH has also made appearances for New Japan Strong, PWG and DEFY Wrestling.
