Jon Moxley: Winning AEW Championship Will Be A Greater Feeling Than Winning WWE Championship
Jon Moxley is eager to win the AEW Championship, possibly even more than when he won the WWE Championship.
In an interview with Rich Ucchino of Sportskeeda, Moxley talked about his upcoming AEW World title challenge against Chris Jericho at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on February 29. When it comes to the matchup itself, Moxley promises that those tuning in will see the absolute best from both wrestlers on February 29.
“Chris Jericho is arguably hotter than he’s ever been, and that’s really saying something considering Chris Jericho’s career. I think he’s not just trying to be good every week he’s trying to be the greatest of all time. And like I said I’ve been running through competition; killing dudes – You’re getting the best version of Chris Jericho and the best version of Jon Moxley at the same time and something’s gotta give, somebody’s gotta go down,” Moxley said.
Moxley is no stranger to winning world titles in big companies. Back when he was Dean Ambrose in WWE, Moxley captured the WWE Championship, but compared to potentially winning the AEW title, Moxley said winning the AEW title would mean more to him than winning the WWE title.
“This, I feel, will be a far greater feeling. You know this is me, on my own, doing things my way. Totally different situation. Not even a comparable situation – as good as a night as that was,” Moxley said.
Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Revolution with a post-show podcast.
