Jon Moxley Says WWE And AEW Will Never Work Together: ‘That’s Not Worth Wasting Any Mental Energy’
Jon Moxley doesn’t even want to entertain the idea of WWE working with All Elite Wrestling because he knows that such a working relationship is a thing of pure fantasy.
With all of the talks recently of interpromotional working relationships and rivalries across promotions because of AEW building working relationships with both New Japan Pro Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling, many have wondered about the true forbidden door and what it would take for a major United States promotion to work with the WWE.
Recently, Kenny Omega commented on such a relationship being possible saying that there are some things that he hears Triple H say that make him feel like one day, that final forbidden door will be opened.
Jon Moxley, a wrestler who has been in WWE has been at the mountain top and golf promotions stated in a recent interview with Inside The Ropes that he wouldn’t even waste mental power thinking about such a thing because it just simply won’t happen.
“That would never happen. That’s not even worth wasting any mental energy to… You know. I mean, if you want to fantasy book some cool s**. You know, maybe you could fantasy book it for, like, fun magazine, stuff. You know, Like back in the day, in magazines, you used to always have, like, ‘Dream match. Bill Goldberg versus Steve Austin,’ in ’98. But that ain’t gonna happen.”
He continued, “It’d be cool to think about the cool s**t that could happen, you know, like a big summit at the Tokyo Dome, AEW, NJPW, WWE or some s**t but that s**t ain’t going to happen. So, you know, they do their thing. They stay over there.”
Keeping the freelance spirit alive, Jon Moxley recently competed in a Bloodsport event and this Friday, he will defend his IWGP United States Championship against KENTA.
