Jon Moxley Says He Finds It Hard To Imagine A World Where Bryan Danielson Completely Stops Wrestling

Jon Moxley comments on Bryan Danielson’s recent announcement.

On the September 9 episode of AEW Collision, Bryan Danielson sent shock waves throughout the world of wrestling, making the announcement that his career, at least on a full-time basis, is beginning to wind down. Danielson noted that he made a promise to his daughter that when she turned 7, he would start winding down things inside of the squared circle.

In a new interview with Cincinnati ESPN 1530, Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club stablemate Jon Moxley said that he can’t imagine a world where ‘The American Dragon’ stops wrestling on a full-time basis. On the flip side, Moxley also noted that he thinks Danielson is one hundred percent serious about winding down things in a full-time sense.

“I find it hard to imagine a world where a healthy Bryan Danielson stops wrestling at all, but I definitely feel like he’s a hundred percent serious saying he wants to wind it down and not be wrestling as frequently, on the road and being away from his kids every week. I one hundred percent buy that, it’s true. I find it hard to imagine him actively being [for sure] he’s never going to wrestle again, I find that hard to imagine, not saying it couldn’t happen.”

Moxley went on to tell wrestling fans to pause and think about how fortunate they are to be seeing Danielson still wrestle, especially due to the fact that he’s overcame a lot of obstacles in his career.

“We’ve seen people be here one day, and their careers are over the next. Every time you get to see these greats wrestle — Terry Funk was here a couple weeks ago, now he’s not. Any time you get to see these greats wrestle, you should really stop and pause and think about how fortunate you are to be seeing this. Once Micheal Jordan retired, you can’t turn on the TV and watch Micheal Jordan play basketball anymore. You got a chance to see Bryan Danielson on Dynamite, you know, stop and pause and really enjoy it while it’s here because you’re enjoying something special.”

Danielson is set to face Zack Sabre Jr. at the upcoming WrestleDream pay-per-view. Fans can see the updated card for the event by clicking here.
