Jon Moxley Retains IWGP US Title After Physical Battle With KENTA

For months, KENTA has called out Jon Moxley looking to finally cash-in on his mandated IWGP United States Championship opportunity. KENTA even stated that Jon Moxley had defended his title less than he defended the briefcase granting him an opportunity at the championship.
The build to this match would even see the opening of The Forbidden Door as KENTA wrestled in AEW alongside Kenny Omega against Jon Moxley and Lance Archer.
KENTA finally got the opportunity to go against Jon Moxley on The New Beginning In USA edition of NJPW STRONG but Jon Moxley was able to retain in a very physical contest.
