Jon Moxley Remains Undefeated In AEW Continental Classic, Scenarios For Gold League Final Week
Scenarios for the final week of AEW Continental Classic Gold League.
Jon Moxley remained undefeated in the AEW Continental Classic on the December 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, defeating Swerve Strickland in the main event. Moxley now has 12 points.
Moxley will face Jay White on the December 20 episode of AEW Dynamite. If he wins or draws, he’ll advance to the finals of the league group. Jay White must win to have a shot at making the league group. He defeated Mark Briscoe on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite to keep his hopes alive.
For Swerve, multiple scenarios are in play as he faces RUSH next Wednesday. A win could put him in the finals. If he loses or draws, he would need Jay White to lose or draw in order to advance. A Swerve draw and a White loss would mean Swerve advances. A Swerve loss and a White draw means White advances.
If Swerve and White win, it would create a three-way tie at the top with White having the tiebreaker over Moxley, Swerve having the tie breaker over White, and Moxley having the tiebreaker over Swerve.
Here is the current lineup for next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite (12/20)
- AEW Continental Classic Gold League: Mark Briscoe vs. Jay Lethal
- AEW Continental Classic Gold League: Jon Moxley vs. Jay White
- AEW Continental Classic Gold League: Swerve Strickland vs. RUSH
