Jon Moxley: I Do This Shit, Unless I Get Knocked Out, Every F–king Night
Jon Moxley makes a joke about his recent concussion while competing in Over The Top Wrestling.
Jon Moxley pokes fun at his recent injury scare.
On October 28th in Dublin, Ireland, Jon Moxley finally made his Over The Top Wrestling appearance on the third attempt to book him in the promotion. Previously due to the global pandemic and AEW’s debut of house shows, Moxley has been pulled from appearances in the promotion.
On the night, he would end up facing off with B Cool, a popular member of the OTT roster. Prior to the match, it was announced that it would now be hardcore rules, and the two men delivered some impressive comedy spots, as well as the more traditional brutality expected from a Jon Moxley stipulation matchup.
In the end, after a Death Rider on tacks, Moxley would pick up the victory over B Cool. After a brief celebration, Moxley would take a microphone and thanked the crowd, before making a joke at his own expense, referring to his recent concussion issues.
“It’s so nice to hear your voices live and in person Dublin! This day has been three years in the making but I finally made it here. And just like any night, whether its Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, I don’t f–k around. I do this sh*t, unless I get knocked out, every f–king night! I thank you all for welcoming me here to OTT.” he said.
Moxley would also go on to praise B Cool, noting that he is “stupid, but tough”. After Moxley left, B Cool took a microphone and said if Mox ever wanted to return he’d put in a good word with OTT promoter Joe Carbray as long as he put in a good word with AEW for him.
Jon Moxley recently spoke about how he would like to see concussion protocols change in pro wrestling. Read his comments here.
