Jon Moxley And Kris Statlander Retain, Keith Lee Issues A Warning, More | AEW Collision Fight Size

Here’s your post-AEW Saturday Collision fight size update for September 9, 2023 

– In the opening contest on September 9, Jon Moxley successfully defended the AEW International Title against Action Andretti.

Despite the youngster’s best effort, MOX got him into a position for a Rear Naked Choke from the ground, utilizing an upkick to twist Andretti into position. After the match, Jon Moxley appeared to give a nod of approval to Andretti. 

– In the second encounter of the evening, Kris Statlander successfully defended her AEW TBS Championship against Robyn Renegade. Post-match, the champion was jumped by Charlette Renegade before the returning Jade Cargill saved her. 

–  “The Acclaimed World Tour is coming to a city near you!

– Jay White had to miss the show for personal reasons, but the rest of Bullet Club Gold won Trios action. Cardblade added insight on commentary as well. 

– Eddie Kingston puts his NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship on the line against Claudio Castagnoli’s ROH World Championship at AEW Grand Slam.

– Keith Lee had a brief promo, revealing he would be moving forward as a singles competitor and warned others to “run. “

– Rey Fenix returned with a win over Angelico.

– The Dark Order can be trusted, right?

– The Righteous (Stu Grayson, Vincent & Dutch) were featured in a vignette.

– FTR wants more competition, so they are starting a series of open challenges beginning next week. 

– Ruby Soho and Saraya are convinced that Toni Storm is off her rocker and needs to be smacked until she regains her senses. 

– Bryan Danielson offered Ricky Starks a spot in the BCC, but instead, he got a beat down by Ricky and Big Bill. Now Big Bill can set his sights on Jon Moxley’s international Championship as they face off this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite 

– Roderick Strong and Samoa Joe advanced to the finals of the Grand Slam Tournament. That will take place this Wednesday. 

– Christian and Luchasaurus want Darby Allin nowhere near any championships in wrestling.
