Johnny Bananas Would Make WWE Appearance ‘In A Heartbeat,’ Calls Miz ‘The Blueprint’
Wrestling fans may not be totally familiar with Johnny Bananas, but he’s the face MTV’s The Challenge, the show that routinely tops the cable ratings on Wednesday nights.
Bananas has found success outside of The Challenge, hosting 1st Look on NBC and appearing in films such as Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
Speaking to Screen Rant, Bananas was asked if he would ever follow in the footsteps of The Miz, who went from Challenge legend to WWE superstar and beyond.
“Oh, dude. I’ve actually said that in the past. I’ve actually publicly called The Miz out multiple times to see if he’d bite, but if that was ever if that was ever offered to me, I’d do it in a heartbeat. It would be hilarious. I’ve become over the years, I think, a heel of reality television. And I think it would be a great space for me to make an impression. But speaking of The Miz, what he’s been able to do with the MTV Challenge and Real World platform, parlaying it into what he has as an actor, as a host, and as a WWE superstar? That guy is pretty much the blueprint of exactly the steps I’d like to follow and the trail I’d like to blaze for myself,” said Bananas.
There has been Challenge and wrestling crossover in the past, most recently with Lio Rush appearing on the Double Agents season.
Unfortunately for The Miz, he’s reportedly sidelined with a torn ACL, though the extent of the injury is not known.
