John Laurinaitis won’t be at WrestleCon.
On Wednesday it was reported that Laurinaitis would be at WrestleCon in Los Angeles during WrestleMania 39 weekend. He was being booked by Bobby Fulton’s Big Time Collectibles.
On Thursday, Bobby Fulton took to social media to reveal Laurinaitis’ appearance has been canceled due to negative feedback.
Yesterday we announced John Laurinaitis would be doing an appearance with Big Time Collectibles. Upon announcement we received only negative feedback. After much consideration we have decided to not work with him. We apologize to those that were offended by us working with him. pic.twitter.com/l9Eg6GQD7a

Laurinaitis was being investigated by the WWE Board in relation to the Vince McMahon-Wall Street Journal sexual misconduct story. Fightful reported “many expected Laurinaitis to be the ‘fall guy’ in it from a professional standpoint.” Laurinaitis was put on administrative leave as Head of Talent Relations following the Wall Street Journal report in June 2021.
The board was reportedly looking at a $1.5 million nondisclosure agreement reached in 2012 with an employee involving misconduct claims against Mr. Laurinaitis.
He was released by WWE in August 2021.
