John Cena: When I Express To WWE, ‘This Is It,’ I Have Faith They Will Do What’s Best For Business
John Cena comments on how his career could close.
It is unknown when John Cena will officially step away from WWE, but he’s getting closer to the end of his run than the beginning, and he knows there are only so many matches left in his sneakers. Cena is touted by WWE as The Greatest Of All-Time, and most wrestlers want to go out on their terms, however that might be.
For Cena, he’s willing to go out on WWE’s terms.
Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Cena was asked how he envisions his career wrapping up.
“There are a lot of different perspectives. Anyone else sitting here would probably craft a scenario where, ‘Oh, in my mind, the perfect thing is to do this, at this event, with this individual.’ I just want to do what’s best for WWE. That has been my order of operations since I walked in this building. It hasn’t changed. It’s my way of thinking, but it’s done me pretty well. When I’m courageous enough to express to those making choices, ‘Hey, this is it,’ I do what they tell me to do because I believe full faith that they’re doing what is best for business. Whenever it comes to an end, and it will, whatever is deemed the best thing for WWE is exactly what will be the perfect moment,” he stated.
Before Cena calls it career, he has at least one more match in him as he is set to clash with Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel.
