John Cena Tells Roman Reigns That He Ran Dean Ambrose Out Of WWE
John Cena and Roman Reigns traded barbs ahead of their Universal Championship match at SummerSlam.
On the August 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, John Cena came to the ring and addressed Roman Reigns. He decided to give the Universal Champion a report card and called him a D (head and bag). At SummerSlam, Cena says he is going to give Roman an F.
Reigns then came out and called out Cena for being unoriginal. He then admonished Cena for making dick jokes before namedropping Nikki Bella and saying that she got tired of missionary position, a callback to comments Cena made last week. Reigns applauded Cena’s accomplishments and place in wrestling history and said that although he is good enough to win the WWE Title, he isn’t good enough to win the Universal Title.
Cena replied, taking exception with the remarks about his breakup. He proceeded to say that The Shield broke up because of Roman and that he drove Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) out of town. This is the first time Ambrose’s name has been mentioned on WWE TV since he joined All Elite Wrestling.
Cena is confident that on Saturday, August 21, he’ll earn the 1-2-3 and become the 17-time WWE Champion.
