John Cena Takes Notice Of EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory Calling Him Out
Austin Theory took his shot by calling out John Cena and it may have paid off.
Following EVOLVE 118, Austin Theory called out John Cena over his “passing the torch” comments.
“How about a question that’s on everyone’s mind: Who’s going to challenge me for the EVOLVE Championship in 2019? Nobody. How long am I going to have this title? Until the day I walk into TakeOver. John Cena, I heard you’re trying to pass the torch. Well, you know how to get in contact with me.”
The call out got the attention of Cena, who posted one of his famous uncaptioned photos on Instagram.

Theory won the EVOLVE Championship at EVOLVE 117 by defeating Fabian Aichner and Roderick Strong in a triple threat bout. Cena will return to the ring tonight at a WWE Live Event at Madison Square Garden. Cena is also scheduled to appear on next week’s Raw and SmackDown Live.
