John Cena’s RAW Status For This Week Still Up In The Air

If John Cena is to make a surprise appearance on the go-home RAW before the No Mercy pay-per-view, he doesn’t exactly have a lot of time to get there.

Cena is currently not advertised for the September 18 edition of RAW at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Cena wrestled Rusev at a live event in China on and defeated him in a match that took place before intermission. Cena would be able to fly out of China and make the 17-hour flight back to California for RAW.

It’s worth noting that neither WWE nor the SAP Center’s website has Cena listed to appear on RAW as of this writing. WWE.com did write a RAW preview and hinted below that Cena may not be present to engage in another round of verbal fisticuffs with Roman Reigns.

Will it be Roman Reigns or John Cena who gets in the final word before WWE No Mercy?

John Cena and Roman Reigns’ microphone battles have gotten more intense each week since The Cenation Leader arrived on Raw to test Roman Reigns’ mettle, and a heated confrontation six nights before their anticipated dream match at WWE No Mercy seems inevitable.

Although Cena seems to have the upper hand in terms of verbal warfare heading into this week’s Raw, live in San Jose, The Big Dog could be saving his most cutting remarks for last.

This type of traveling on such short notice is nothing new for Cena and he could still make it to RAW, seeing as how it is the go-home show before No Mercy. Cena is wrestling Reigns at the pay-per-view, which takes place on September 24. Fightful will have complete coverage of the No Mercy event, including a post-show podcast live on Fightful and on YouTube.
