John Cena Comments On “Ankle Injury,” Says Setbacks Are A Part Of Life
John Cena promises to never give up.
Yesterday, WWE announced that Cena’s status at WWE Royal Rumble is “questionable” after the leader of the C Nation suffered an “ankle injury” last week on Raw. The “injury” occurred in the fatal four-way main event when Drew McIntyre put Cena in an ankle lock, tweaking the ankle of the 16-time World Champion. Cena sold the tweak by limping after the bout and, according to WWE, re-injured the ankle while working out this past week.
Today, Cena addressed the “injury” with a post on Twitter.
Setbacks are a large part of life. People often say “what a bad time to get hurt” or “I can’t believe this happened to me now” ask yourself, is there a good time to get hurt? Or be setback? Setbacks are just another chance to find triumph! Never give up!

The Wrestling Observer reports that Cena’s injury is a work and that he could miss the Royal Rumble due to his filming schedule. Cena is set to begin filming on a new movie on Sunday. As of this writing, Cena is still being advertised by WWE for the event.
