John Cena Apologizes To China, CM Punk Needles Him; Kofi Kingston Praises Xavier Woods | Fight Size

Here is your fight size update for Tuesday, May 25, 2021:

– While doing press for F9, John Cena referred to Taiwan as the first country that was able to see the movie. This upset China as they believe that Taiwan is still a part of their nation even though they are self-governed. John Cena later put an apology out on social media, speaking in Mandarin, and trended on Twitter following the apology.

CM Punk, one of John Cena’s greatest rivals in WWE, took a playful jab at John with his new Twitter bio.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast later tweeted that the apology was not going over while backstage in WWE.

– Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Kofi Kingston put over the work ethic of Xavier Woods and stated he deserves all the credit for the idea of The New Day.

“Xavier’s level of grind, I’ve never seen anything like it,” Kingston says. “He’s gone from not having a YouTube channel to having two million subscribers. And it’s more than that. He makes people feel heard, he is a problem-solver. He was the visionary behind all of The New Day. All these special moments we’ve been able to give, the spark for all of them is from Woods. He thinks on such a different level.

“Woods and E, they’re such high-quality human beings. I occasionally text them and say, ‘Thank you for being in my life.’ They’re two people I consider brothers, and I also get to work with them. So this wasn’t a breakup with E on SmackDown and us on Raw, it’s more of a diversification. We’re conquering one end of the world, as well as the other end.”
