In recent weeks, Joe Gacy has set his sights on Shawn Spears, who recently made his surprise return to NXT. Gacy has lurked in the background by Spears, but he took things to the next level by costing Spears his match against Dijak on the March 26 episode of WWE NXT.
On March 27, Gacy took to Twitter/X to send a message to NXT General Manager Ava. He noted that there were those who said that he should maybe have a match against Spears at NXT Stand & Deliver. Gacy pointed out that it would be held in Philadelphia, the city he grew up in. He stated that he would love to do this, even if it was on the Kickoff Show.
